Mail not automatically opening after creating a DocMoto share

DocMoto uses Apple”™s standard application sharing technology and a failure to open Mail can be caused by a fault with application sharing on your Mac.

The solution is detailed in this article from Apple.

Note, when running the command from terminal it can take 3 to 4 minutes to return.

Once completed Mail will open correctly.
