Browse the DocMoto repository from an iPad
DocMoto is a WebDAV server at heart, and you can browse its repository with WebDAV compliant software.
In this article we show you how to browse the DocMoto repository from an iPad using the GoodReader or Documents applications.
If you want to browse a repository externally, whilst on the move, you will need to ensure that you have the correct firewall settings to allow GoodReader or Documents to access your repository.
Choosing port numbers
The DocMoto client connects (by default) on port 3983 (standard) and port 3984 (secure, SSL).
When connecting using a third party application these ports are OK for file vewing. However if you want files to be updatable then you should connect (by default) on port 4983 (standard) or port 4984 (secure, SSL).
Note, third party applications DO NOT support check-out, tagging or searching.
